This is the ninth album of p-funk band Funkadelic, the last Parliament-Funkadelic co-production and the first one for a major label (Warner Bros). In contrast to Parliament (whose albums are more horn-centered), the Funkadelics always use more guitars, as is the case here too. In fact the album is dedicated to `all the guitar players in the world’. Though the album (released 1976) is not half as good as Maggot Brain (by example) it still is a fine guitar-funk album afterall. The sound is more clean and more accesible, and it even contains a few very danceable songs (If You Got Funk, You Got Style).
The reason i present this album here is of course the fine artwork. The foldout-cover is a real piece of art by Pedro Bell while the accompanying short story is hilarious.
