When i came across a few of these compilation albums I was a little misguided by the coverart. First I thought that they were some mediocre dance-compilations, but someone with more insight knowledge pointed out that I really had to buy these (they were presented at a very fair price too), so I decided to blindly trust his advice and bought these three albums. And I sure didn’t regret it!
These are a fine compilation series, a collection of late 60’s library music that was popular in the London based Blow Up club back in those days; heavily swinging catchy songs from great composers, influenced by soul, funk, boogaloo and beat as well; lots of bouncing guitarriffs and jumpy organsounds. Very contagiously!
And some beautiful stylish artwork too.
That’s why I love record collecting…
