Miles Davis – bitches brew

miles davis bitches brew uitgeklapt

The artwork by Mati Klarwein reflects in an almost perfect way the creativity, madness and genius of this groundbreaking Miles Davis album. In its intriguing complexity, and the joining of opposites reflects the political and racial atmosphere of the time, and the tribal and psychedelic elements combined also reflect the jazzfusion of Miles here, containing elements of Black Power and of progressive culture, all the same. Klarwein has done the artwork for many other albums, by example Santana’s Abraxas, but never has it been so to the point, so intertwined with the music as on this iconic album. They say a good wine needs no bush, but sometimes the bush only strengthens the quality of the wine, as is the case here.
